Out the back door one afternoon, the sun was hitting this spiderweb in just the right way to make it look like spun cooper.

Shooting down from a fishing pier into the tannic water, the ripples can be seen as slight distortions and waves of light.

From this angle, the seagrass and clouds seem to be waving in unison.

It’s not all scrub pines and palm trees. Look long enough and hard enough, and fall foliage can be found even in Florida.

(I wanted to upload a couple more photos, but my server was being exceptionally hateful last night. To avoid putting the desk chair through the monitor, I had to settle with only these snaps from the week. *deep cleansing breath* )
