Ala. storm

Driving through Andalusia, Ala., on our way home from Tennessee, a glorious lightening storm was brewing. It was far enough away to not be a threat, but close enough to watch the massive clouds rolling in and the streaks of light shooting across the sky. Though I wasn’t able to capture the lightening, I did snap this shot of the clouds.

Looks lovely and a bit threatening though this may mainly be due to the fact that every day we see clouds like that and a few minutes later it is thunder and rain…
    Great shot though.

Clouds give us a feeling of comfort and safety – a feeling of containment. Without clouds, we would soon become painfully aware of the fact that there is nothing between us and billions of light years of space but thin air.
