Flutterbyes
It’s been raining a lot so I haven’t been able to get out much and try my new toy. It held off a little while today and I headed out to a local public beach access ~ Beasley Park. Daisies were everywhere and the butterflies were out in full force.
I couldn’t get off the boardwalk and really get in close because of the beach restoration restrictions, but I did get these. I had to crop them and blow up the image I wanted to feature. Not too shabby.

Here’s what they look like all fanci-fied.

Not too shabby indeed!
[Tara R.] Mr Lady… thank you!
Wow-that is TOO cool!
[Tara R.] Kori… I am going to have too much fun with this camera.
I love your pictures! They are just beautiful.
[Tara R.] D. Fringe… thank you so much!
Oh – those are BEAUTIFUL!!! I so wish I had a better camera to get shots like that!
[Tara R.] Lizzy… I wish there was a way to really show how many butterflies there were out at the beach. There must have been a 100 or more. They were everywhere. We are on the monarch butterfly migration trail. We’ll see them for weeks.
Awesome Pix!!!!
[Tara R.] Steve… thanks!
Gorgeous shots! I really love that first one!
[Tara R.] Anna… thanks, I’m glad you liked them.
Wow! And the butterflies were plentiful!
That last frame is wonderful. I had no idea they gave out free LSD at the public beaches. Too cool.
[Tara R.] Weasel Momma… it was a little trippy out there today!
Simply stunning!
[Tara R.] Laura… *blush* thank you very much.
I am soooooooooooooo impressed…with both the snaps & with the slideshow, too! Hey, I “borrowed” your “I Rock” post from Veggie Mom. I know she got it from you, so wanted to say “thanks,” and I gave ya credit, too! If you take any Silly Snaps with that Fancy Camera Critter, please shoot them my way…I’d be Down Right Pleased & Proud to feature them on S x 3!
[Tara R.] Melissa… thank you so much. The slide show was generated at Slide.com. Very cool site for creating fun shows. I would love to get you a S³ photo. I keep my eyes open. Thanks for the props… I loved your rockin’ list.
WOWZA! Great shots!
[Tara R.] Terri… thanks. I’m going to have a lot of fun with this camera.
Gorgeous.
[Tara R.] Zoeyjane… thank you so much.
The second one if my favorite! That video is so cool. I love butterflies too! They’re fun to chase … at least my son thinks so.
[Tara R.] Kim… thanks! It was so pretty with all the butterflies.
I love butterfly shots. I’m glad the new play toy is meeting your approval.
[Tara R.] AFF…. I’m having a lot of fun with my new play thing.
I’d say you’ve got the Bug, if ya know what I mean! You’re in the right spot now, with the right material, to join Candid Carrie’s Friday Foto Fiesta Finish. Whaddaya say, Tara?
[Tara R.] Veggie… I’ll have to check of the Fiesta! Thanks for the invite.
Woo hoo..I love love love your new toy.. I cannot wait to see more..these are great!!!
[Tara R.] Kim… coming from you, that really means a lot to me. Your photos are always so wonderful.
They’re lovely
I haven’t seen butterflies around in quite some time now.
[Tara R.] Sandy… we’re apparently on the migration route for monarch butterflies. They have been everywhere. Thank you.
I’ve got to show these photos to my baby girl! She loves identifying them and starts doing her butterfly fingerplay everytime she sees them!
[Tara R.] Mozi Mom… cool, I get to be a visual teaching aid! Thanks!
I think butterflies are creepy. And moths. Can’t stand to be near them. I went on a first date once with a guy who thought it would be romantic to take me to a butterfly farm. Date over.
[Tara R.] Dingo… sorry for the ‘eeewww’ factor. Lizards are out too right?
Absolutely beautiful!
[Tara R.] Cyndy… thank you. These turned out better than I thought they would.
You’ve always taken awesome pictures now you have the awesome camera to aid you. Tell Hubs I said “good job on the gift.”
[Tara R.] Dina… I don’t want to be too praising of Hubs, it might go to his head.
I love Monarch butterflies. So pretty.
[Tara R.] Eve… thank you! They are my favorite.
I’m so jealous of your new toy! I cannot wait to see all the awesome pics you’ll share!
have a good weekend, love!
[Tara R.] Heather… it was a total surprise. I thought I would have to save milk money all year for this. Hope you have a great weekend too.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!
They are huge..and so colorful!
[Tara R.] MP… the next step is to learn how to use my photo editing software.
Those are real nice pictures. Post processing is used by photographers to make the pictures they took even nicer.
I like taking pictures of butterflies too, but in our country we have to travel far to see them and some even have entrance fees to their butterfly farm. I love how their colors come alive amidst the green of the leaves, and how their colors blend with the pretty flowers they perch on.
[Tara R.] ceemee… Thanks! I have to learn more about our photo editing software. I want to be able to manipulate the image, have the background b/w and just one part colorized, all sorts of things. With this camera, the photos are such high resolution, this should be easy to do.
very cool TARa!
[Tara R.] Beany… *wink* thanks!
Awesome captures! What a cool new toy! I am sooo jealous. I want one of those. Maybe if I’m a good girl, Santa will bring me one….
[Tara R.] Bad Momma… this was a total surprise. Maybe if you’re a ‘bad’ girl your chances of getting the camera will increase.
wink wink. come share something on my blog. this was painful but good to share, too.
see you soon friendy,
beany weany
[Tara R.] Beany… it is so cool your family will be together again, for good, by Christmas. Fabulous gift!
Holy COW, Tara! These are awesome! Can’t wait to see more.
[Tara R.] Forz… thanks! I’m having fun with it.
Such good work! Great subject.
[Tara R.] Nola… thanks! I hope to get more creative with both the subjects and the after processing. I’m still learning what this camera can do.
Gorgeous!
[Tara R.] April… *blush* thanks so much.
