Bueller, Bueller?
2008 August 31
One possible reason WK has difficulty relating to some of his teachers:
Ms. M (taking attendance during the first day of class) – WK?
WK – My name is spelt WK, but it’s pronounced Throatwobbler Mangrove.
Ms. M (who apparently isn’t a Monty Python fan) – we’ll stick with WK.

Too bad they don’t get his sense of humor – hope not all his teachers react that way! BTW – are they issued evacuation for ya’ll yet? It looks like it’s going west of you, thankfully, but lots of rain to look forward to.
[Tara R.] Dina… I hope a few ‘get’ him and play along, it would a lot more fun for all the them.
We probably won’t have to evacuate. The forecasts don’t even call for a lot of rain. We’ll have to wait and see.
WK is quick! Too bad the teacher didn’t appreciate that.
[Tara R.] April.. and she’s an English teacher… you’d think she’d be up on her English literature.
Hehe. That’s hilarious!
[Tara R.] Ashley… I thought so too, but couldn’t really let on.
So I guess, “Know what I mean? Know what I mean? *nudge, nudge* *wink, wink*” would be totally lost on this teacher?
So I suppose, “Dago twit!” wouldn’t fly either.
To think the guy that played Manuel wasted all that time. tsk, tsk.
[Tara R.] Lou… She probably wouldn’t appreciate the finer points of Python. *nudge, nudge* *wink, wink*
LOVE it! Does WK stand for Witty Kid???
[Tara R.] Angela… maybe Wise-ass Kid.
Did he walk in using the silly walk??!?!?!?!?!
Dago twit!!!
Hu Hummmmmmm!
[Tara R.] Laura… if he thought he could have got away with the silly walk, he would have done it. If his school ever offers a course on Monty Python, he’d ace it.
What a great kid you have! I need to use that one with my name! I hadn’t even thought of that. I get comments all the time on the spelling of my name. Man, I am still laughing at what he said…
[Tara R.] Siobhan… try as I could not to, I laughed so hard when he told me this. I would love to hear you say this to someone and see their reaction. Do it!
Give me my nose back! And now, a man with 3 legs…Monty Python is the best! But I want to be on the telly!
[Tara R.] Melissa B… and now for something completely different… The Flying Circus was comic genius!
Ha ha ha! And even more ha ha ha at the thought of the teacher’s nonplussed response.
[Tara R.] Patois… I’m still chortling over it. I would have loved to have been in the room when he did this. I hope that the teacher really got it and not just think he was being a smart ass.
snicker snicker…might be a looong year for WK! Or the teacher, really.
[Tara R.] Kori… oh if only we could find a teacher well versed in Monty Python.
I’ve never watched Monty Python… but I was in hysterics picturing your kid saying that! I bet all his classmates LOVE him!
[Tara R.] Terri.. I almost lost it, and I recognized the quote, so it was even more funny to me. I hope his teachers appreciate his humor, but it may be over the heads most of the time.
I’ve never seen that clip before…laughing my head off over here. FUNNY stuff. If you’re kids like that, I agree with Terri, other kids must love him. I have a feeling our whole fam would get along great. Humor and laughter amuck!
[Tara R.] Kim… I think he is well liked, but he is in several advanced classes, and obscure humor is not accepted as readily there as in standard classes. He is just a little over their heads most of the time. I like that we have more stuff in common. That’s great to know.
