These are from my collection of Tech Deck martial arts Dudes. Yes, I do display them at work and no, no one messes with me about it. Life is short, have fun while you can.

[Tara R.] MommyTime… it’s actually wine. I would LOVE it if it were beer. It’s also available in Merlot and White Zinfandel. I found it at my local Publix grocery store. I may have to go back and stock up.

my kids collected tech deck dudes a couple of years ago!! they came home from school, told me no one would play with them because they had no tech deck dudes and basically, they tugged at my heart strings. so…i went on a crusade to buy out all the tech deck dudes in the city!! there weren’t many left. they had been all the rage. but, i found around a kagillion for each kid. you know where they are now? yeah…me either!!
love them though!!

[Tara R.] Melissa… the only ones I collect are the martial arts ones (along with a couple lucha libre guys in there)… these are really hard to find new ones. My kid just wanted the finger boards. I’d keep the figures and he would take the skateboards.

hey, that collection is spunky and fun. you will not be surprised to know that i also have a small collection of creatures at work also. can you guess what of? i bet you will guess. beany bears! little bears. several different styles of beany bears who are patriotic. and nobody has ever teased me about them at work. have only been told cute stuff about them.

I have more than 200 Happy Meal Toys in my high school classroom. Some of my critters, though, are suffering from age and too much sun, since they sit on a windowsill 10 months a year. Started out with about 20, and my students have been bringing them to me for more than a decade. Not sure if this is a commentary on the Slothful Ways of Youth (lazy, Fast Food Nation, etc.) or a sign of how much they cherish their Beloved Instructor. Could also be ’cause their moms want them to get the little plastic pieces out from underfoot.
