Madam President!
I am so excited right now that I can barely sit still and am typing some really crazy words because I’m shaking like mad, so this is taking twice as long as usual to write.
I teased about the first woman president in an earlier post, but didn’t want to say anything because I didn’t want to jinx it… I’m superstitious like that.
I just got a confirmation e-mail from my college girl… the one who is uber cool, and who never ceases to amaze me. JM was just elected President of the Student Honors Organization for the University of Florida! That’s not just her class, that’s the whole stinking college! And, she will only be a sophomore when she takes office!
Elections were last week and the ballots were counted over the weekend. I cannot tell you all how stupid proud I am of my kid. Whoottt!
Tell me that you wouldn’t want this fabulous woman as your first female president!

PPS. The closest I ever got to this was President of the elementary school in 7th grade. But it was too much to handle…I chose going home for lunch and watching All My Children (YES! In 7th Grade?!?) over organizing bottle drives. *sigh*
