A word from our sponsors

I got this amazing gift from Huckdoll over in Huckdoll’s Hood. Stunned is not a strong enough word… This woman is a true warrior and I love her writing, her honesty, her raw emotions when she tells a story. Do yourself a favor and check her out.
There are conditions attached to this, I am to offer three writing tips and then pass the award on to three bloggers that I deem “worthy of recognition and esteem.”
Tip 1: Write what you know - write about your life, things that interest you, events or news stories that touch a nerve or move you. Don’t be afraid to take a stand and have a strong opinion.
Tip 2: Read everything – be informed about what is going on around you. Read newspapers, magazines, books, especially other blogs. The more you know, the more you think, the more you think, the more you can write.
Tip 3: Keep a notebook close by – jot down ideas or observations, conversations, or events that happen during the day. A digital recorder is also good for this. So much goes on during the course of your day, so many things that you would want to share, but forget.
Now, to pass this on -
D is for Dad – a trio of fathers (Chuck, Mike and Scott) who give a different perspective on life as a parent, giving fathers a voice in raising this next generation.
Roadkill Refugee – regardless of your party leanings, you will enjoy RR’s untarnished view of what is going on in today’s political conundrum.
My Fertility Stories – and to Brandy for her courage in letting us be witness to her struggles and now excitement while she and her husband underwent fertility treatments. They are expecting their first child later this October.

I also have to thank Colleen at Manners and Moxie for this beauty. She is a co-founder of Scrolling Saturdays along with Melissa at Such Simple Pleasures. Her blog is incredible. One minute you are laughing yourself silly, the next crying like a baby.
Please take a moment to visit all of these wonderful blogger/writers… your day will be richer for it.

Second, THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH for awarding this wonderful award to me and my little blog. It means so much and I will pass it along in tomorrows post
Thank you again!
Wow! That’s really nice — thanks!
Well deserved for sure! And I love tip #3. I don’t know how many funny moments I have forgotten about only because I didn’t have a notebook or something to jot it down on. I used to use my cell phone to record notes or make my son say stuff over so I could remember it later, but the recordings came out so funny that I didn’t have the heart to erase them so now the memory is full.
