Now that the writers’ strike is over

blog readability test

The reading level, who knows… I think I could be using too many small words and short sentences. Maybe I need to start adding a few gerunds, some prepositional phrases and an couple infinitives to beef up the writing. I’ll get out my Rogets and my Gregg Reference Manual, and surprise you all sometime.

I was given this R rating due to the inclusion of these words or themes:

  • shoot (6x)
  • kill (4x)
  • sexy (2x)
  • drugs (1x)

With the writers’ strike finally over, after shutting down the movie and television industry for a little more than 14 weeks, I think I may have stumbled onto a new vocation.

Apparently, my blog is written with the intellect of a 10 year old, and the dirty mind of a 40 year old. Sounds like a winning combination if I wanted to bang out movie scripts or TV screenplays.

I know my bloggy readers are brilliant, fine, upstanding citizens, so I better step up my game.

Sounds like Comedy Central writing to me :)

*lolololol*

I had an R-rating for a while, but that changed to NC-17 when I used the ‘P’ word once. I’m a dirty, dirty girl .

Those ratings sound just about right for me. :)

he he tara,
you can always write ## in the words if that helps. i didn’t want to post r#ape on my blog last night without a little symbol in it.

rock awesome to talk to you today my FRIEND!!! :)
beany bear

Hilarious! Yes, you may have found a new niche! :)

due to the words suck, bitch, crappy and ass…nc17 was my rating…and, i’m so elementary!!!
xoxo

No, I think you’re giving us more credit than we deserve.

Hey there….found you through linkage!

I love your post. My blog is boarderline R rated and Xrated so enter if you wish!

I’ll check back here to see how the ratings are holding up!! :0)

I had a G rating once…I was so offended…hmmm I will have to go check it out!
And my friend…why taking a risk? I respect everyone else’s viewpoints and stances…I can agree to disagree and still be”friends”.
Its all good. For I believe that many in all parties, in their hearts have a common goal, we all just do so differently.
Anyhoo, I appreciate the input! You rock!

Love it! I’m curious about mine, I’ll have to check it out…

Nice. VERY nice. That is pretty fun.

I got a G rating on mine, and a high school level. I’m soooo dull.

lol I thought the lower level of reading means the easier it is to read & that’s a good thing.. (especially for people like me! haha)

And Maria’s lying about using the P word once! haha I’m surprised her blog isn’t rated XXX! ;)

I need to go check mine!

I got an r rating a year and a half ago for using the word Missionary. I have never been so proud. :)

hahaha. I say go for it. whatever you come up with has got to be better than the shit that passes for entertainment these days.

I question the reliablilty of the rating systems there. It says my blog is rated G. I even used the F word in it’s entirety today. I also throw in an occasional ten dollar word and I got and elementary reading level too.

Well I give it a middle school rating at the lowest. Humpf.

These seem so random. I’ve been on blogs that were rated PG and used horrible language regularly.

I haven’t checked mine yet. I’m more frightened to check the reading level!

LOL! that’s pretty funny!
My blog is elementary level too. It probably picked up on all of the poor grammar and spelling ;)

I’m not sure how this happened, but my blog was rated G! CRAZY!

For some reason, the comment you made about your blog rating, made me think of this reality show Finding the Next Pussy Cat Doll–or whatever it is called. (Hey, we dont have cable or anything, and there was nothing on!) any way, These girls are trying out for this girl band, wich looks like a burlesque group, and they were preforming for a target audience…not young men, nope…the 5-12 year old girl crowd! Strippers who sing, and their target audence is who?

Anyway…that is what your blog rating made me think of…maybe I should blog that instead of ranting on your page about it?

my blog’s junior high. My pride comes from the fact that I swear all the effing time, talk about drugs and sex and still, I get a G rating with only one incidence of the word ‘pissed.’

Seems my blog’s a good liar, to me!

Last time I did this my blog was at genius level (no joke - haha) and I was rated R, too. No surprise there.

Hehe - I just rechecked my level and it’s now dropped to junior high :)

LOL. Mine’s an elementary level and rated R as well… Yay ofr small words like ‘hell’, ‘whore’, and ’steal’, right?
